ARLINGTON, Texas (KTLA) — A woman died Friday while riding the Texas Giant roller coaster at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington.
It happened just after 6:30 p.m. local time.
The woman was reportedly riding with her children when she fell out of the roller coaster, witnesses told NBC 5 DFW.
The park did not release any details about how the woman died, but did offer their condolences to the family.
“We are deeply saddened to share that earlier this evening an adult woman died in the park while on the Texas Giant. Park medical staff and local paramedics responded immediately. Since the safety of our guests and employees is our number one priority, the ride has been closed pending further investigation.
