ARLINGTON, Tex. – Six Flags has confirmed that an adult woman has died while riding the Texas Giant roller coaster at one of its theme parks, Six Flags Over Texas.
KDFW reports that the woman fell out of the cart and onto a platform below the roller coaster. The Arlington Fire Department has not ruled whether the restraint in the cart came loose or if there was another contributing factor. The woman was at the theme park with her daughter and son-in-law.
Six Flags released the following statement:
“We are deeply saddened to share that earlier this evening an adult woman died in the park while on the Texas Giant. Park medical staff and local paramedics responded immediately.
