DETROIT (WWJ) – Several hundred people rallied for Trayvon Martin in downtown Detroit Saturday, one week after George Zimmerman was acquitted of his murder in Florida.
Rallies were held in cities nationwide as many, like the Reverend John Hearn, called for federal civil rights charges against Zimmerman.
“We will not let the blood of this young man go unnoticed,” said Hearn. “We’re putting America on notice. We’re putting our Justice Department on notice. We want our … get this boy’s blood avenged.”
