Rally Held In Detroit Calling For ‘Justice For Trayvon Martin’

DETROIT (WWJ) – Several hundred people rallied for Trayvon Martin in downtown Detroit Saturday, one week after George Zimmerman was acquitted of his murder in Florida.

“We will not let the blood of this young man go unnoticed,” said Hearn. “We’re putting America on notice. We’re putting our Justice Department on notice. We want our … get this boy’s blood avenged.”

Mary Gains of Detroit told WWJ’s Beth Fisher that Zimmerman’s acquittal was a travesty.
