RALEIGH, N.C. — State officials announced Monday that wood products manufacturer Jordan Forest Products will expand its operations in Montgomery County.
The $1.4 million expansion will take place over the next three years, ultimately creating 31 jobs in Biscoe.
Salaries will vary by job function, but officials say total payroll is estimated to be more than $740,000 plus benefits. That averages to an annual wage of about $23,870 per worker.
The company, which is headquartered in Mount Gilead, is an affiliate of Jordan Lumber and Supply.
Jordan Lumber and its subsidiaries currently employ 301 people in Montgomery County and also have a facility in Georgia.
