Police Release Surveillance Photos Of Man Who Raped Woman In Rogers Park

CHICAGO (CBS) — Chicago police have released surveillance video images of a man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman in Rogers Park near the Loyola University campus early Wednesday morning.

CBS 2’s Chris Martinez reports a construction worker heading to his job site heard the desperate screams of the victim and called police.

Now Chicago police are searching for the person who raped the victim.

Police said the victim was walking near Greenview and Lunt Avenues around 5:30 a.m., when she was grabbed and dragged to a construction site, and sexually assaulted.

A construction worker reporting for work heard the woman screaming for help.

The attacker fled, taking the victim’s purse.

CTA surveillance cameras on the nearby Red Line captured images of the suspected attacker entering a nearby train station and boarding a train.
