Microsoft Releases Socl

socl-logoThe world of social media finally welcomes Microsoft social network, Socl. After several months in beta stage (exclusively accessed by Microsoft employees and selected college students), this new social network (www.so.cl) was launched last December 4 and supported by leading social network, Facebook.

 

Basically the same with Tumblr with interface similar to Pinterest, Socl is where you can create a page where all posts from your specific interests appear. Unlike in Pinterest and Tumblr where reposted stories (photos that link to certain stories/articles), you can share posts to your Facebook, Twitter and email in Socl. Of course, comment and like features are also present. However, the like feature in Socl appears as a smile button that says “This makes me smile” when clicked and then turns to an aqua blue/cyan color.
