Police Ask for Help Finding Giving People

CLEVELAND — Cleveland police need the public’s help in finding some people.  They are looking for persons with a giving spirit this holiday season.

Toys are beginning to pile up for Cleveland’s good boys and girls.  Members of the Cleveland Police Athletic League, or PAL, are gearing up to help Santa at Public Hall this Saturday. 

Organizer Sgt. Bob Kumanec said this is the 3rd Annual PAL Kids Holiday Party.

“They get to do all kinds of great activities throughout the day and before they leave they get to pick out a toy,” he said. 

But, it’s feared there may be more children than toys this year.  Kumanec said children in need have already been given tickets for the event and donations are down. 

“Last year we had 3,000 kids. This year we are expecting 4,500 kids with their parents and guardians,” he added. 

They figure they have about 2,000 toys, from ones…
