WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is heading to Michigan to ask auto workers to support his plan for averting the so-called fiscal cliff.
Obama will tour an engine plant Monday in Redford, Mich., a suburb of Detroit. He'll also speak to workers at the plant before returning to Washington in the afternoon.
The trip is part of Obama's effort to rally popular support for his agenda and to pressure Republicans to reach a deal on the fiscal cliff.
